15 March 2010

What you'll need: 2 Cups of baking soda 1 Cup of corn starch 1 1/4 Cups of cold water Food coloring Drinking straws Yarn Aluminum foil Stir baking soda, corn starch and water in saucepan over medium heat - stir for 10 minutes until it becomes the consistency of mashed potatoes. Pour on to foil and cover with a damp cloth until cool. When cool shape into beads or other objects. If you want color in your beads now is the time to add a few drops of food coloring and knead into dough. Use drinking straw to put hole in object - you will string yarn through this hole when dry.
