2a. 'Valley Ford Creamery' shows an obsolete dairy plant in remote Sonoma County, California, now in the process of being transformed into artist studios; 1st place, Sonoma-Marin Fair 2001.

2b. 'Burbank Greenhouse' catches the interior lighting from the greenhouse on the old Burbank property in Santa Rosa, CA, now a historic site.

2c. 'You Be The Judge' is based on the contemporary scene at the Mark Twain Motor Court in Sonoma County, California; Best of Show, Sonoma-Marin Fair 2003.

2d. 'Abandoned Ranch House' is based on a decaying building in southern Santa Clara Valley; painted in 1993, this scene has now been wiped away by new housing development.

2e. 'White Barn' shows the old 19-century Franklin Ranch Barn, still standing on Franklin Avenue in Santa Rosa, CA; now next to Franklin Park.
