Shadow Portrait is two plates. The face was scanned into my computer and manipulated in a variety of ways to give it an otherworldy look. It was then printed out as a positive onto a Solarplate (see Printmaking Tips). I cut the Solarplate with a scissors to shape it. Then I aquatinted a copper plate and outlined the shadow figures with hardground and etched.
