I collected
journals for this book about the whole south coast of New Guinea not
hindered by the present borders of the Indonesia: Irian Jaya and Papua
New Guinea. There are 250 copies printed with 200 pages of text. Every
book is bound in a leather cover in which there is a traditional
scar tattoo pressed. On this way the purport of the book becomes beside
an intellectual also a tangible experience. As the colour of the skin
of the Papua's along the south coast of New Guinea vary from light
to deep brown, until nearly black, the covers also range between these.
Beside an own designed map there are 12 prints made by Fons Bloemen.
The book is made in the A4 size (20 x 30 cm) and is printed on 125
gr. paper.
